Global Social Entrepreneur of Tomorrow
Peyman Parham Al Awadhi is an Emirati entrepreneur, TV presenter, traveller, and was recognised as one of the UAE's "40 Most Influential Emiratis under 40" in 2012 on the occasion of the UAE's 40th National Day celebration. He is an alumni of the University of Houston, and has worked in Marketing and Communications for over 15 years. Peyman is considered one of the key social media influencers in the Gulf region, and has a large base of followers. The Peeta Planet Show, a social travel series he co-produced and co-hosted with his brother, received more than 50 million worldwide viewers and introduced a new interactive format whereby their social media followers helped shape their destinations and itineraries. In 2015, Peyman and his brother were invited to host a session at the Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meetings in New York city, where they moderated a panel titled "Cities as Labs of Innovation" that included Oscar winning actor Matt Damon. Peyman has also co-founded two other popular startups in the United Arab Emirates; Wild Peeta Shawarma Kitchen and Qabeela New Media, which creates, produces and distributes entertaining and socially conscious programmes.
Abdullah Al Jumah is a Saudi traveller, author, Harvard Law School alumni, lecturer in law at King Saud University in Riyadh and legal counsel. A born traveller, Abdullah is famous for his book — Tales of a Saudi in Europe — a chronicle of his travels across Europe inspired by his social media followers, who shared his journey with him online. The book is a collection of 11 stories and anecdotes from nine European countries. His other books are Greats Without Schools and Orphans who Changed the Course of History. Al Jumah has participated in the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, the Middle East’s largest celebration of the written and spoken word and discussed how travel enables individuals to engage with other cultures in a meaningful way.
